As we left the restaurant we had a pleasant surprise meeting a man who had received a PET cart two years ago. The PET cart ministry provides hand driven carts for those who cannot walk. We asked about his story, it started with an infection in his foot, treatment was not available, so it needed to be amputated below the knee. He was given a PET cart which he “drives” a mile each day to his garden where he works almost every day. It’s a small picture of what life in Haiti is like.
