Our purpose is to provide hand driven carts at no cost to people who do not have the use of their legs in third-world countries and to provide volunteer opportunities for our local communities. Mountain Lake, MN has a strong history of being mission-minded by donating labor and money to help those less fortunate. A board of directors was formed to begin the process of becoming an affiliate in 2019. We began making metal parts for the Minneapolis Affiliate to learn how to make carts. In June 2022 we attained Affiliate status from Mobility Worldwide. Soon afterward we were gifted a large inventory for cart parts from an Affiliate that was closing. This was a huge boost and we are now seeking a facility to begin assembling carts. Our goal is to make 25-50 carts in 2022 and increase from there in future years. We are beginning the process of recruiting volunteers and building a donor base. Each cart costs about $350 to build and ship.
