From Africa Surgery:
James with Mobility Cart

James was crippled by polio as a child. He had worked hard his whole life as a blacksmith. Now, retired and with no wife or children, at age 58, James lives at a small shelter for the disabled, in Freetown. Africa Surgery and our partner organization Orthotic Rehabilitation and Medical Services gave James a Mobility Cart. This was one of 78 carts donated by Mobility Worldwide and shipped to Sierra Leone by Africa Surgery.

James with board

James, whose legs are totally paralyzed, used to carry a wooden board to help navigate city streets and sidewalks.
