PET OH-Stow Celebrates 100th PET Cart Produced

The Lord appeared to Abram and said, “To your offspring I will give this land.” So he built an altar there to the Lord, who had appeared to him.

Genesis Chapter 12:7, NIV

God is our Faithful Provider.

This is as true today as it was in the days of Abraham. PET OH-Stow is celebrating God’s faithfulness, just as Abraham celebrated God’s promises and His faithful character.

How does this look today?

The PET Place in Stow recently celebrated God’s provision for the production of the affiliate’s 100th PET mobility cart. Wednesday, June 17th, 2015 was a day of great rejoicing as PET OH-Stow hosted a luncheon as a ‘thank you’ for 60 to 70 of the affiliate’s volunteers, partner organizations and donors.

Vince Petno, president of the Stow operation, expressed thanks for God’s provision through those partners of skills, time, financial and material donations that have made the production of the facility’s first 100 PET carts possible.

The celebration also exalted God for the impact PET International has made in the lives of the mobility-impaired worldwide. The parent organization recently announced the production of the 50,000th PET cart.

Graphics at the PET OH-Stow event showed the life-changing impact the gift of mobility can have for PET recipients. Such visual reminders of the transformative impact of the love of God through the gift of a PET cart and the Gospel supported the key theme that every gift of $250 lifts one more person out of crawling in the dirt, and into a life of greater dignity and mobility.

For some donor partners, the event was the first glimpse into the heartbeat of the Stow facility’s key volunteers and partner organizations.

Said one donor, “I have been truly drawn to the opportunity to support PET OH-Stow’s effort to give the gift of mobility to those in need. However, I had no idea of the depth of dedication and spiritual commitment of the PET Place’s leaders and volunteers. This gives me a more clear vision for my plans to regularly support God’s work through PET OH-Stow.”

God has indeed been faithful. What’s next?

While we celebrate God’s provision thus far, we also are aware of the God-sized need the entire PET organization is called to meet.

According to the World Health Organization, there are 70 million + people with leg disabilities worldwide.

PET OH-Stow lifts up the name of God our Provider with gratitude for our partners in ministry. At the same time, all connected with the PET Place in Stow are relying on God to expand His provision through His people, so that more lives can be lifted up, while we continue to lift up the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior.

If you are a current partner, we extend our thanks and blessings to you. If you are not yet a partner, would you prayerfully consider whether God may be calling you to give locally for a global impact through PET OH-Stow?
