There will be finger food and beverages, and a great opportunity to learn more about the efforts of the PET Place volunteers in their mission to reflect the love of Jesus Christ by bringing the gift of mobility and dignity to those in developing countries who are unable to walk.
Before receiving the gift of mobility, many PET cart recipients are socially and spiritually isolated. The typical PET cart recipient lives in a rural area and earns a mere $100 per year. Many times recipients have gotten around by dragging themselves on the ground. Their leg disabilities are from various causes, including polio, land mines or injuries. PET OH-Stow strives to furnish mobility carts to these disadvantaged, often shunned people at a cost of $300 for manufacturing and shipping.
After receiving a PET cart, users no longer need to drag themselves along the ground. They can be upright and mobile. This does much to restore personal dignity and the image of God in the disabled. Your support of PET OH-Stow can help fund the gift of mobility. It also opens the door for the cart recipient to receive the greatest gift of all – the Gospel!
Rejoice with us at the PET Open House as God has provided for us to ramp up production to 20 PET carts per month. We hope you will also prayerfully consider how you may be called to either begin partnering, or to more fully partner with us, to the glory of God.
