Kids Helping Kids

Mobility Worldwide OH-Stow is excited to launch Kids Helping Kids, our Vacation Bible School support program. Building off of last summer’s success with Christ Community Chapel, we will work with area churches. Kids Helping Kids will help children experience the gift of serving as they participate in bringing the gift of mobility to children in other countries. Please watch the video below describing this program and if you know of any area church that might be interested in working with us, contact us at cander1540@gmail.com. Mobility Worldwide will provide all of the materials for Kids Helping Kids and we are ready to launch in the summer of 2019.

Crusin the Chapel

Mark your calendars for Crusin the Chapel coming to the parking lot of Christ Community Chapel on June 29, 2019, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. This is the third-year Mobility Worldwide has been selected as the mission partner for this event with all proceeds going to production of carts. In addition to the terrific car show, live 50s music and a two hour “all you can eat free ice cream and sundae experience” we are adding several family activities including cart races, build a cart experience and race to Akron. Please bring your children and come join us as we celebrate vintage automobiles, motorcycles, ice cream and raising funds for the production of 20 carts.

Progress toward 2019 Goal

The Lord continues to bless Mobility Worldwide OH-Stow! Our many volunteers and continued financial support have allowed us to increase production to provide the gift of mobility to individuals suffering from lower extremity disabilities. We increased our 2019 production goal to 475 carts up from 400 in 2018, and we are on track to fulfill that goal. In April, we sent our first 2019 shipment of 144 carts to our distribution partner World Vision. This was our largest single shipment since we began five years ago. World Vision has become a significant partner, distributing our carts to those in need in over 100 countries. They continue to encourage us to give them as many carts as possible as they are in high demand by missionaries working with disabled individuals. Please check out World Vision at https://www.worldvision.org and pray for them as they play a key role in our ministry.

  • Cart #1000 completed
  • Appreciating GS Steel

January 16, 2019 was a great day of celebration at Mobility OH-Stow!
The reason for this was twofold:

Mobility Cart # 1,000 was built and boxed for shipment! What a milestone!

We invited the team from GS Steel to join us so that we could recognize them for the key role they have played in the success of Mobility OH-Stow.GS Steel is a local steel fabricator whose contributions have been invaluable to our ministry since its inception 6 years ago. They donate all the steel we need to build Mobility Carts. In addition, their employees fabricate many of the Carts’ unique parts. Their generosity and heart for our mission go a long way in furthering our goal of eradicating immobility.
