Jeff and April Sukup

Inspired by his father-in-law and PET founder Larry Hills, Jeff Sukup began making parts for PET Florida located in Penney Farms near Jacksonville. At the time, Jeff was the Missions Director for South Tampa Fellowship and a woodworker, so those skills were the perfect match for putting together a workshop in Tampa. When STF acquired the Ballast Point Baptist Church campus, in 2005 Jeff established a small workshop in the former administration building of that facility. As STF’s congregation grew, the decision to expand and renovate the Ballast Point campus was made which meant the PET workshop would be torn down to make room for the Ballast Point expansion.

Looking to make use of their education building, Faith Baptist Church came to STF and offered it for use to PET Tampa. The first floor was opened up and the move began to PET Tampa’s new workshop. In January of 2010, the workshop was renovated and rearranged to its present configuration.

The workshop is open Thursday afternoons from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday mornings from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
